Top Purple Shampoo Finds

It is no secret that blondes in fact, have more fun and their hair requires more work than brunettes (ok, ok, I’m not sure about the fun part, I had fun with my brunette hair too). But the work part, especially when you are not natural blonde, is quite substantial. When I first started transitioning my hair to blonde, I wasn’t aware that I would become a purple shampoo connoisseur of sorts. However, I will say that it didn’t take long for me to find my affordable favorites.

This Finola shampoo has got to be one of the best affordable shampoos ($13). I think the very best part though is a that a little goes a long way and it is from Amazon. When I first started using it, I found it to be super great and did the job of removing the brass tones in my hair quite well. However, I think as my hair started to change tone, it didn’t do as great of a job, but I don’t think it was any fault of its own.

Redken ($23) has always been a brand I trust and has never failed me. Like the Finola, it is super dark and does its job super well. I do have this as my travel bottle selection because I know that no matter where I go, if the water is anything different than mine, it will still do the best job of keeping my hair in its original state.

Biolage is one of those brands that when you find products that work for your hair, you certainly do not find anything better. I can also say that about their purple shampoo. My whole life, I have had this brand in my shower, mostly because my aunt was a hair dresser, but also because it is (in my opinion) the best brand and it Is no secret that their purple shampoo is the best. I find that because it can be both a purple shampoo and lather like a normal shampoo, it provides the best benefits. My hair doesn’t feel dry or stringy after using it and it quickly does its job. I also enjoy that their price points are usually middle of the road.

These three have been a constant rotation since my blonde hair has been in existence and I couldn’t be happier. I do find benefit (but also a huge mess) of putting it on dry, letting it act as a mask, then adding a small amount of water to create a lather and rinse. But, like mentioned, it is a mess and almost not worth it.

If you have blonde hair, is there a purple shampoo that you just can’t live without? Share it with me below!
