May Goals – 2020

Even though we are in unprecedented times, I am still working on my goals each month and focusing on keeping on keeping on. Because that is what my mental health needs and deserves. I am hoping that May will allow for more growth and more love.

My main goal for the month is to continue to work on my budget and pay down my debt. With the Budget Mom principles, she shows the ease of paying down your debt while simultaneously saving for your goals. You can do both. Debt wasn’t incurred overnight and the thought that you have to sacrifice your whole life to pay it off is both absurd but unrealistic for me. The more specific goal this month is to be able to close out the month of May with more realistic numbers and get a better handle on her worksheets to do that.

The second goal is to get the rest of the main living rooms painted and my office completely done. I know that my insanely handsome boyfriend reads these posts, so I am just putting it out into the air for him to be aware of the list *wink-wink*

The final goal for the month is to attend virtual therapy at least twice this month. I am struggling with not being in church on Sundays (although I recognize that church is the body and not the building). I am blessed with the Teledoc service through my employer and I recently discovered that it comes with the offering of virtual therapy. I will never be ashamed to admit when I need extra guidance and if you are struggling with needing an extra ear or even medication to help, never be ashamed.

Even though these are simple goals, they are needed, and I can’t wait to show you how my office turns out. What goals do you have for the coming month?
