In the past couple weeks, I have spoken about the Last 90 Days put on by Rachel Hollis. I attempted to complete it last year and reached day 62 when life got out of control and I let it distract me from my goals.
The first question you probably have is what is the Last 90 Days?
To put it plainly, it is a challenge that you do with a lovely community of people to end the last 90 (92 actually) days of the year better than what you would originally. It challenges you to do all the things you already said you are going to do on January first like ya know, drink more water, workout, etc. Most people throw in the towel in the last 90 days because January 1st is coming so they will just start over then. This is designed to do just the opposite.
The five to thrive are milestones that are to be reached each day and are designed for success. Nothing is too hard but it can be if you chum up excuses and try to find substitutions for what it is.

I decided to do this challenge again this year because last year I remember how good it made me feel. It isn’t about moving a number on the scale or looking a certain way. I just want to feel good. I want to bless my body with good food that I should have been eating from the very beginning of my Hashimoto’s diagnosis and bless it with the fuel of water and movement. Beyond that, finding gratitude and waking up earlier are always healthy things for the mind body and soul.
The last 90 Days is not just a challenge for me this year. It is a vehicle for me to get back to myself. For a long time I have been craving community and feeling hopeless about doing something yet again by myself. Between the Last 90 Days and going back to barre class, I know I have that and I have set myself up for success.
No, this isn’t just another fitness challenge but it is a challenge for you to bless your mind body and soul with good things. It is a challenge to think past what you think your body needs and give it what it craves.
If you would like more information on the Last 90 Days, you can go here or listen to episode 72 of the Rise podcast. Rachel and Dave also have a Start Today Morning Show that no one talks about 8 am CST live on Instagram and Facebook with replay episodes on the Start Today podcast. Or, you can just troll the hashtag #last90days and there are so many incredible people doing the challenge too. It is not too late if you are in the same boat I found myself in.
If you want to recommit to your whole being but are struggling on where to start, just plug in somewhere and let your heart guide you with where you need to be.
Happy October and Happy Last 90 (ish) Days!
