Summer Makeup Favorites

This summer has been HOT! Every summer I get to the point where I don’t feel like wearing makeup but I still love to wear it. Finding a happy medium can be quite challenging.

After using Hilltop Designs HD skin care products to calm my rosacea, I have been super reluctant to put any makeup products on my face. It is when I wear makeup, in the summer, that I notice my rosacea to come back just a little bit and I feel like I have to start all over.

This IT Cosmetics CC Cream has been a life saver. As I get older, I find myself really loving all of the freckles on my face and my skin texture so I haven’t been willing to cover it up. This provides a good base, with sunscreen that covers up just enough to even my skin tone but allow my natural glow to peek through.

I have always had dark circles so there really isn’t a remedy for me. I stand by the Tarte Shape Tape and even though I do love others in the summer, this is still the only concealer that covers my dark circles but doesn’t leave them cakey.

I haven’t been setting my face with powder, but I do set my under eyes with the NYX banana powder. I have used this powder for years and I haven’t found one that beats the price or the application quite like this one.

Of course the Physician’s Formula Bronzer would be another favorite for me! It also does a beautiful job blending on top of the CC Cream in the areas I haven’t set with powder. It doesn’t spot or streak. It really does a beautiful job. I also use it in my eye crease to brighten my eyes up.

Matter of fact, that is the only this I put on my eyes in the summer. I do apply mascara but right now it is just whatever comes out of the latest beauty box or free sample. If you have a recommendation for me to try,Ii am here for it! I have tried almost everyone out there and I still come back to waterproof because they don’t transfer to my lower lash line.

Standard eye brow protocol is the NYX eye brow pencil in medium brown and the NYX eye brow gel.

My makeup takes me less than 7 minutes and I feel so good with the amount of coverage but not feeling like I dipped my face in foundation. I am loving my summer makeup and I truly think I will be carrying it into fall.
